hi guys!

i would like to show you guys my first group of apistos, cacatuoides.. i think they would pass for double reds.. if you do have comments or suggestions on how to breed them, feel free to do so.. i have their mother in possesion, sadly the dad died in the shop where i got them, shop owner gave me the mother since i bought several pieces from him.

im planning to breed the mother with one of her offsprings.. would this be ok?

Hello,

A fine fish indeed, would suggest to look for another partner from anither LFS if you could. They are quite easy to breed.

If there are no visible defects in either the mother or her offspring, it is OK to breed them to each other. Just be careful to "cull" any offspring that show defects.

hi guys! thanks for your inputs..

just trying it out my luck with them though, if it does not work, its ok. we do practice the offspring x mother trick in flowerhorns here in the Philippines, i dunno with other cichlids, with established genes. i'll update if something happens.

hi guys, ive been observing the group and saw these two.. the largest of my double reds, i assume its a male, and their mother.. religiously chasing each other around a certain clay pot.. could this be?
