To breed?? Good variety of food..live foods if available and patience. You tank is nice and they will breed when they are ready, not you are ready!!! lol

I have real questions about the sex/species identity of the 'female'. An in-focus photo would help. I have never seen a female A. borellii with so much blue on the face. It might not be a female or A. borellii. This may be the reason they do not breed.

What exactly are you asking?

The top fish appears to hae a blue and red operculum, never seen a fem with that

Nor have I. It is possible that someone is developing a more colorful strain of A. borellii.
