The original "A. sp. Algodon I" was a commercial name A. sp. Papagei. Sadly other fish are also sold as Algodon I. Your fish does not appear to be Papagei. Based of the black brood dress markings of the female (a Papagei-like double caudal patch + a full set of lateral spots) I believe that you have a fish the collectors name "Roca Eterna". A. sp. Roca Eterna usually is sold as A. sp. Papagei/Algodon I, but is not the same species. It is found in a different river system than A. sp. Papagei: closer to the RÃo Napo than the RÃo Ampiyacu, home for Papagei. Hope this helps.
