Almost A. gibbiceps

A fast one watched indicates to us that we are before A. gibbiceps but this apisto has the caudal fin rounded, also the first rays from the dorsal fin are different.

Captured in Mucuras river, affluent of the Negro.

The abdominal striping is also absent on the flanks.

Looks like agassizii-complex species to me. Possibly A. gephyra(?)
I didn't check with the locality though...

Certain, it was first that I noticed (I have some A. gibbiceps). :wink:

I agree with Lars, it probably is A. gephyra. They live in the same areas with A. gibbiceps.
