What algae eaters would be good for a 58G apisto tank?

For what kind of algae?

And is it a tank set up with breeding Apistos or is the primary focus of the tank display?

Primary focus is the apistos, it is green algae mostly on the back part of the tank.

I have found small ancistrus to be quite excellent algae eaters! That and they are prety shy so they won't pose a big threat to any potential eggs. Good luck!

I have had a few problems with the bristlenoses, when they get a little bigger they are tough enough to ignore the apisto's trying to protect the eggs. perhaps its just mine.
I prefer the otocinclus. They are excelent algae eaters and dont seem to cause any problems in the tanks.

If you are looking for a really different fish Garra Flatavia or Sewellia Lineolata will live nicely in a soft water cooler temp tank.
