Hello all,
I have had a trio of A. macmasteri since October (I'll try to post a few pics below). Things went well for several months, with the fish growing larger and more colorful. Occasionally, the dominant female would chase off the other female, but no harm was done. The male and the dominant female have spawned twice (have yet to see fry.) However, after the last spawn, things have begun to change. The non-breeding female has gotten extremely aggressive and constantly attacks and chases away the dominant (or was dominant) female. The male, who used to chase away the newly aggressive female has basically become indifferent. However, I still do not see mating displays between the male and aggressive female (although I could be missing that.) Should I be concerned about this behaviour? Does anymore have any tips/advice?
Thanks!
Tony
