Agassizii or sp. tefe?

I know it’s been asked a million times and I read a bunch of old threads but I still don’t know…I bought a pair from the wet spot as Aggassizi cf “Tefe Pearl Blue” and unfortunately the female died before any spawning….I’d like to add more females but I want to make sure I’m not going to be crossing species or anything….i don’t see the wavy bands but really I don’t know what I’m looking for

From the photos I'm not able to tell you which form of A. (cf./sp. aff.) agassizii it is (given it is a wild form and not already a man-made mix of several forms/species), but it's for sure not A. sp. Tefe.

There are 2 species of the agassizii-complex that inhabit the Rio Tefe. One is more like the holotype form of A. agassizii (but probably a different species) that lives closer to the Amazon. The other, A. sp, Tefe, is found farther upriver around Lago Tefe.
