Hi,
This was a good summer for my tank. My Borelli and Macmasteri gave birth to a lot of wriggling fry. The parents took real care of the kids, terrorizing the other tank mates but leading them to subadulthood
Well, now that the fry are 3 months old, I need to know when the time will to come to find them a new home. My questions :
- when (or at what length) are Macmasteri and Borelli adults ?
- How much of them can I keep ? My tank is 450L and not overpopulated
best regards

MD

Most people will not buy apistos until they are sexible. This occurs anywhere between 6 - 8 months of age, but varies with species, feedings, tank maintenance, and temperature. Some claim they can sex red cacatuoides at 3 month, but I certainly cannot.
