I got these fish as A iniridae and two months ago. They are shaping up nicely but I am not sure if I have a female in the group.

It seems like every time I look at them they have changed color.

Hi Chris,

I think you've been unlucky and have a group of males there (the caudal fin just looks too large to be female in any of your images). For comparison, my pair from last year:

The first photo might show a female, but I'm not positive. I get the impression that these are rather young fish. As males mature, their ventral fins develop long thread-like extensions. The female's ventrals remain much shorter.
