A. Cruzi, 33g?

i am getting a 22g and setting it up tomorow. I have 6 juvi Cruzi's and plan to put htem in there. Will this tnak be too small for them?
how many should I put in there any how many will I have to sell

There great fish. Please let me know

I also cant decide.. sand.. or gravel which would they like better?

any help would be great.. thanks

A 33g is a nice size for your cruzi, you should be able to hold all 6 until they pair up.

I like sand in my apisto tanks if they aren't planted. If planted I use flourite.

Some apistos like to sift through the sand, I'm not sure about cruzi though. Whatever you do end up getting, make sure it doesn't have any shells or other calcerous substance in it.

I don't really think so. The cruzi that I have had in the past haven't been too bad. However, it is a subjective thing. I consider chasing to be a normal part of life in a cichlid tank. I consider relentless hunting downto inflict serious injury aggression to be dealt with.
A33g is likely big enough to handle your 6 fish, if structured well enough. But you may want to take the other 4 out during breeding anyway to avoid the possibility of fry defense problems.

how can i tell they are breeding?

as for the area. i have lotsa slate and nice stones that will be stacked high to give caves and caverns and tunnels and al that. leaving the front open of course

any type of cat fish of pleco maybe i could hav ein the tank to help with bottom cleaning?
