Hey im only new to breeding these fish and have had success on my first
atempt. Well im not 100% sure if they are A. Cac so if someone wants to
look at them i have pics but cant post them here so ill e-mail them to u and
you can tell me.
This is how they spawned.
I had a feamle in a 2ft tank with some claypots a bit of drift wood, 2 mollies, 3 cardniel tetras and 6 green tetras.. I got a large male from my girlfriend and put him in the tank 2. Instantly they displayed for each other and a day later they had turned more agressive towards the other fish.. A couple of days later i took out the male A. Cac and the 2 mollies.
The A. Cac male and mollies went into anouther 2ft tank and are happy.
about 1 week later i came home after a bads days work and seen the best present of my life. There are in between 40 - 80 fry. Out came the neons, she had them all bailed up in a corner anyway.
The next day i went down to the local fish shop and got some micro worms and some premade liquid fry food (which has eggs and shrimp and other little stuff in it).. They seem happy today (3 days after first seeing them) and appear to be growing. The female laid the eggs inside a bit of drift wood that she can bearly fit in and the male certinly could not.
Well thats all for now, oh yeh i know have egss in the other tank as my girlfriend found anouther female in a different town so i got rid of all the mollies and neons, and now need to find a new home for the male A. Cac as the new female is picking on him.
Do you guys feed your fry anything special?
Is there anything i should look out for?
Thanks guys
