Thanks for having me!
I’m new to fish keeping but learning quickly!
Started with a 10 gallon tank with guppies in September 2025 and now I have that tank, 2 20 gallon long, a 20 high and 2 29 gallon tanks. Plus 2 small betta tanks.
My favorite fish are my electric blue acara and my pea puffers.
Just recently got an Apistogramma C thrupple. Also bought a pair of German blue rams on a whim at a Petco grand opening. Oopsies lol!
I have no self control I guess!

Although I’m finding out the I’m not as excited about the apistos as I thought I’d be. They are too shy.

Could you post a photo of the tank you have them in in this thread? I couldn't even be considered a beginner with apistos as I haven't kept them yet, but I'm sure the experienced members on this forum would be able to offer some advice. (getting a 40g breeder set up for an a. Borelli at the moment though) I have lurked here a lot, and my first guess is that there's not enough hiding spaces/cover for them to be comfortable, the second is that they might not have fully adjusted to the tank yet. I don't know how recently you mean by "recently" though lol.
I'm also not sure if there's enough space even in the largest tank you have (29g) to help with the breeding aggression/territories and such.

I don't have the experience to speak on whether or not it's a good set up for a throuple, but it's definitely aesthetically pleasing!
