Ok, so I'll just wait for a dry one. I'm also going for the correct water parameters. I achieved them with my last dicrossus tank and was working with very soft water with a ph of 6.3. I'll try to achieve this again.
How big of a group of cardinal tetras do you think I could get away with...
I thinking about including palm fronds for the aquascape. I have a palm tree in my backyard, are there any steps I need to take to prepare this palm for the tank? Like should I let it sit once I've cut it for a week before I add it to the tank?
Hey all,
Well I was going to set up my 20 gallon tank for some dicrossus but I cracked it while cleaning it. So, now I'm going to use a 29 gallon. 2 years ago I set up the same tank for the same fish but this time I want the aquascape and stocking to be more realistic of the Rio Negro.
Here's...
Ok. In that case do you think a pair of apistos would be more interesting? I’ve kept dicrossus once before and maybe trying something new could be fun.
Hey all! I’m thinking of putting together an Igapo style 20 gallon tank. I’ve done this once before but with a 29 gallon. I was wondering about stocking this smaller tank. Do you guys think I could keep 4 checkerboards and a school of around 12 neon or cardinal tetras? I would do 30% water...
also, my fish store has a good amount of species but there are a couple that i don't know if they could fit in a 15. eremnopyge, hogsloi, macmasteria, and viejita red neck. Would any of those work? Also, I never heard of the eremnopyge, are those pretty rare?
ok thanks guys for the advice. also, i was thinking of doing a black water biotope. Are there any plants you would recommend just to add some color that come from that region?
Hey guys, I’ve already got a group of 4 dicrossus filamentosus but I was thinking of adding 2 maculatus with them, will they live together or aren’t fit for that?
Thanks
They are regular cardinal tetras
Can’t post a photo yet
My quarantine tank is getting setup so once it’s setup I will
It’s an aqua clear and is a planted tank
Thanks guys, my ick is over now but I my cardinals are dying for some reason. I don’t know what it is, but it seems internal. There is one cardinal with black cycsts but it seem like that isn’t doing anything. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks
hello all. My tank currently has ick from a group of cardinal tetras that bought. I’m treating them with QuICK cure and I’m trying to get the temp up but won’t gets very variable above 84 degrees and isn’t constant. The tank is currently at 82-83
