I would like to help me identify this apisto. thanks

Note the distinctly separate (from the lateral band) caudal spots on the 2 'females'. Definitely NOT A. gephyra. To me they look like a pair of A. cf. pertensis (commonly collected with A. gephyra).
is corretc Mike, bad sellerObviously the seller knows more about sell apistos than identifying them!![]()
I agree Mike, do you know who has the real gephyra female for sale and shishita male?My guess is that the dealer bought the lot as "A. gephyra" and sold them as such. Sadly the best defense is for the buyer to know how to identify his fish. If anyone has seen any of my programs, they have seen the 1st picture (cartoon) that states "Know your fish".
Ok Mike, no problem and thanks for you help, on Thursday I hope to receive two correct female gephyra, when I have them.I'll take photo and post them to see if they are correct.Sorry, but I don't keep tabs on who has what. Hopefully someone will see your post and contact you.
Ok Mike thanks again for your help. Both appear to be males. Females show no pattern in the caudal fin.
