Hello Mike, thanks for your prompt response the size is 1.6 inchFirst, the fish does not appear to be the true (holotype) A. pertensis. The body appears to be too deep/high-backed and laterally compressed for the real A. pertensis. It looks like one of the forms/species of A. cf. pertensis. How large is this fish? It could help in sexing the fish.
Thanks so much for you help Mike.At 35mm/1.6" the fish is still a bit too young to positively sex. Yet I tend to agree with Andrew that it is a young male. The pattern on the caudal fin seems too dark/distinct for a typical pertensis-complex female.
