A.hongsloi in 54 liters?

Hi there! New to this forum.

I've got an empty 54 liters tank at home. I saw that my local aquariumstore had some beautiful Apistogramma hongsloi. My plan is to setup the tank and buy a pair of hongsloi. Is this a bad idea? Keeping hongsloi in a 54 liters? This will be the only fish in the tank. Will it work or is it to small for a pair?

I think that would work. Cichlid atlas says lots of hiding places among plants, wood, leaflitter and rocks. fine sand for substrate (because they tend to dive down head first when startled)

It should if, properly decorated. Just keep an eye out for aggression, especially if they breed.

Possible? Yes, but much more difficult to accomplish without much aggressive interaction among the fish.

Like you say, almost everything is possible. I will only keep 1+1 then.
