Hello all,
Sorry if I'm late to the party here, but I'm sure some of you have used AI chat bots during your fishkeeping journey.
I have, generally to corral info and links to peruse so that I may draw my own conclusions. Obviously AI is still in it's infancy, and you will frequently get some bad info mixed in with the factual stuff depending on your query. That being said, I'd just like to share one way that it is indeed quite useful is as a "notebook" to create and maintain a log of your projects and tanks. Would recommend doing a separate log for each, but this is my latest entry today for one specific tank. You are able to recall your log, edit and add to it at any time - literally almost as good as a pen and notebook. You can ask it to format any categories and such as well. Per tank, each of my logs also has water parameters and any other categories you wish to add to the log that *you* create. Pretty cool AFAIC. Pic is of the entry I just updated an hour ago for the observation portion of this tank's log. (BTW, I've been using GPT for this.)
Would love to hear your feedback or personal experience using AI (GPT or others) in this manner, or other potential uses that don't require AI's sometimes opinionated responses.
Have a great weekend!
