My A. Cacatuoides is having some issues

Hi everyone! I wanted some input and insight on what's going on with my A. Cacatuoides and it's honestly worrying me.. so recently (in the past 4-5 months) I've noticed a bend in my apistos spine and I've been monitoring him. He was doing fine until just recently when he would stay near the plants and just be lethargic for a while. I feed him and his tank mates regularly, and he'll eat bits, but then swim off and not care about the food. Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you!
I've attached some pictures to show how he's doing.

Hey everyone! Here's an update: unfortunately, he has passed away a few days ago, so there's that :/ I will most likely get a new male apisto or wait it out until I can get another apisto pair instead of just one at a time

Hi all,

I'm sorry to hear that. In your original photo he looks quite an old fish? When I kept A. cacatuoides the females often made four years, but most of the males just about made two years and I don't think any of them lived beyond three.

I had them through multiple generations, so I know how old they were.

cheers Darrel
