Yea - i would keep them in 100% ro water - just trying to learn more about people experience with them. I'm making a list of alternative species that are not too aggressive. I presume they are harem breeders - my intention would be to keep 3 males and 5 or so females in a 30inchx48inch area with what i presume will be decent scapeing. I really can't find much on them - the book i have mentions brevis but has very little and the only comment has is that they are not very aggressive. Also that they are a blackwater species that should be kept in soft, acidic water for long-term health.
Thanks it was listed as 'broad-banded'; weird description - just indicates that breeding is problematic and requirest slightly acidic water.... rather poor description. I have a better book on order and should arrive in a couple of weeks.Old name is A. sp. Breitbinden/Broad-banded. Look for this name in your books.
