True indeed. For me i’d have to say A. baenschi, guttata (wishlist number 1) and atahualpa.

Why those specific species? Looks or something about the behavior or care ?

Hmm… both i think. Not sure how to explain it. My current panduro pair is also fun to watch and again something completely different from the baenschi.
the baenschi was a bit more “cool-calm-and-collected” (scientific term). My panduros are everywhere all the time and breed like rabbits (sadly my husbandry skills don’t follow).
The atahualpa is also very much it’s own.

The <"Holotype Papagei"> form? Probably <"the most colourful">.

A. Njisseni in breeding clolors.

A pair of A. nijsseni (or <"A. panduro">) in good condition? Must be pretty close.

Actually no. The "Pebas" variant as seen in my avatar picture. So sad I lost the fish much too early and couldn't obtain a female before he died. I'm not into colourful per se. Rather some colour sprinkled here and there and more into colour through reflective scales than actual colour. Hence my enthusiasm for Dicrossus.

Yes, but rarely. I had them, though only for a short while. Didn't get the chance to fully colour up to this colours seen above.
