This is my wild Cac. I believe its the male. Are these black markings weird or will he grow out of it? He is about 1"

The first is a male and the last seems to be a female.

That black markings (the dots) are seen often in wildcaught Apistogrammas, specially (in my experience) from Perú.

They will stay in the fish and with a lot of water changes, they can diminish.

I believe that the first 2 photos are of the same young male. The black spots on the dorsal fin are in the same position. The fish has a lyre tail, extensions of the ventral fins, and blue lips. These are typical of males.

The black spots are a parasite, that usually isn't dangerous to the fish.
