I ended up picking up a “pair” of white/gold caucatodies at my lfs. The guy said that one is a female and one is male. I am starting to dought that the one is a female. It really looks like a male to me and the bigger brighter fish is always chasing the other one around. Right now they are in a hospital tank before they go in my 55 gallon. Can any tell me if I do have a female? This one is the male

I agree with Jos. Females almost never show vertical stripes in the caudal fin.

All males, agree with all the above. One seems to have a mutated spine of some sort (usually due to inbreeding), but to be expected considering they are a "color mutation."
