Trifasciata but what type

Way back when I got my Apisto eartheater group, two of the fish that were in the group were clearly trifasciata males. I posted a thread and it was confirmed on the ID fourm. The shipment came in from Columbia and that to me doesnt make much sense. Could the experts take a look please.

If there is such a thing, is that not just a "standard" trifasciata?

A. trifasciata is not native to Colombia. It is only found in the Paraguay system of Brazil, Paraguay, & Argentina as well as the Guaporé system of Brazil & Bolivia. There seems to be some misinformation regarding your fish somewhere.

I posted in my other ID question some information about supplier. I am going to give him a call and ask if the eartheaters were trans shipped. That may clear it up. He is a pretty fish. I am fond of him.
