Well, it looks like the female got tired of the male chasing her away. I was feeding early this morning, and he was chasing her around and taking the food away. A few hours later, she was in full display, trying to entice him, and still, he chased her away. A few hours after that, i found him in the middle of the tank, gasping with one of his gill covers ripped nearly off!!! Whats that they say about a womans scorn? Can anyone use a lonely female?

Dear Rich,

Those Teleogramma species can be so aggressive towards conspecifics. How about some nice little Nanochromis instead?
