Hi,

After I successfully bred some Apistogramma species lately, I got somewhat confident in my skills with dwarfcichlids so I thought I was up for a real challenge. I ordered a pair of T. candidi, since I think it's one of the most beautiful dwarfcichlids. I'm very excited about getting them now but they will be the most expensive but more importantly the most difficult species I've kept so far and I'm hoping I didn't get too optimistic about my skills...

The good thing is that on forums like this I can ask for help! I read that the species thrive in soft low pH water (~5 pH) and slightly higher temperature. All of this is no problem, by peat filtering osmosis water I now get to these values in a stable way.

Is there any other advice you might give me to help me be successful keeping this species?

Thank you very much!!

PS I also posted this question in the BCA forum to get as much input possible from all over the world...
