Supplementing R/O water with sea salt.

I am considering to supplement my R/O water with a bit of sea salt. Does anybody has any comments/experience?
and of course how much to add?

WHY?
my brain see's you removing as much as you can with the filter and then adding it back

i dont see the point

prehaps only use 90%, 95% r/o and some straight tap

the whole point of r/o is filtering out things from the water, my take on all the ro right elctrolyte replacement things is that htey are just saleable items
i use straight r/o in apisto tanks , i am on very hard water so i still seem to have buffer left
i even use peat in straight r/o for lots of my fish

Depends upon what you are trying to get out of the tap. I have a higher concentration of iron, phosphate and copper in my tap water than I want (I want 0 levels of those), so I do not reconstitute with my tap water. I use a product called RO Right by Kent Marine. I like it over marine salts made for marine tanks because there is less pH buffering compounds in the RO Right.

Well, I use 95-98% R/O as well. The water in israel are extremely hard and full of chloramine and other %^^$#. I think that a tiny amount of sea salt will be a better supplement. I also heard that in zebra-fish labs R/O water supplemented with sea salt is used.

There is nothing wrong with using sea salts. I use the RO Right to avoid the cabonate pH buffers. Plus, RO Right is less expensive by weight than Instant Ocean or Kent Marine salts.
