Hi all,
I have 8 juveniles of A. Similis (about 2-3 cm TL) in 60 l. tank. Couple weeks ago when I was sitting beside the tank I noticed some unusual behavior. I saw one of the fish was swinging on one side and then to the another showing its light belly. Flashes of this belly attracted my attention. I quickly moved to the front of the tank, assuming there was something wrong with the fish (it looked like some swimming problem), but I moved too fast and all fish disappeared. I watched the fish for some minutes but I didn’t notice anything wrong. Maybe I would forgotten hole thing but few days ago I have experienced the same thing. This time I was in front of the tank just watching my fish. I saw one of the fish had swum through a group of the others and had acted the same.
I suppose this is a part of fish “body language†but I didn’t see anything like this before. Maybe someone experienced similar or can explain such behavior?
Best regards
