Hi. I acquired a female ladislao to attempt pair with my male. They seem to be both ladislao to me and I trust the lfs but sharing for expert opinion.
The female seems to be a sub adult. I have two young adult males and will need to rehome the younger less colorful one who is understandably getting a lot of abuse now.
Also just realized that the picture has a female (?) Inka that was previously in the tank now at LFS.... please disregard that particular fish

Your male can be Ladislao or Ladislao II or Ladislao III - which one I can't tell for sure without knowing the catch location. Whether the female is the same species I can't tell for sure either. But if they are from the same import or breeder, I wouldn't worry too much.

Thank you very much Frank. I will ask the LFS if they are aware of where the fish were caught. I am hoping to successfully breed this interesting species.
