I'm trying to sex them, from what i've read on this site, it appears that the yellow colouration (present on three of the six) indicates a female but only if the ventral fin has a black line preceeding it (I presume this is the last set of fins on the unserside of the fish?). The suspect males are approx 1/2 the size of the females - does this sound right?

The entire body would turn yellow on the female when she is in breeding coloration.

Generally the female, when not in brood care or breeding dress is the drab colored fish. The males would be the brighter colors, in this case the blues and yellows would probably be the males.

Hello

I have been studying the photos for a while. But I have to say that I cannot see any absolutely sure females. The only photo which might show a photo of a female, is the one at the bottom of the list. (No; 25)
Hope that I´m wrong, but eventually you have to look around for some females.
