Just confirming the identification if possible. Others have stated the fish is definitely female but I feel the fin lengths for a juvenile lean towards sub-dominant male. Either way, my knowledge of A. Borelli is very sparse.

Fish is still settling in and mouth to caudal spot is ~4cm, so it is likely too early to be absolutely sure?

Apologies for the army of freshwater limpets, I clean them off the front pane every other day but they are quite persistent. I'm hoping the Apistogramma develops a taste for them.

Don't worry about the flow, it is only in ~10% or less of a 40 gallon aquarium with the rest being very sheltered and quite densely planted, the flow is just where I drop food for dispersion and cichlids are going to cichlid.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
