Hello Tom,

Serranochromis spp. are very large cichids (over a foot) that are found, for the most part, in southern Africa and, in the case of S. robustus, Lake Malawi. I've never heard of any of these fishes in the U.S. hobby. Nick James in South Africa would be the person to contact.

Randall is right, Nick used to have a few of these fish which he collected in Namibia. IIRC they are fairly aggresive fish as well.

thanks, both of you i think i once say them on aquabid, but i never knew what they were until i read up on them a year later, i know they get big, thats one of the reason's im looking forward to workin with them, does anyone have nicks email
