I have a female agassazii that has apparently killed her mate and her 2 harem mates. I have moved her from the main tank. Is there any sense in getting her another mate?

Personally, I wouldn't. I would leave her to her own devices. She should be observed for a while to see if she exhibits any other unusual behavior. Maybe try to find another pair to restart with. That just sounds like bad genetics to me.

Hopefully you can score some more fish.

Apistos are extremely hard to find here. This is why I purchase a male and two females of an unknown species, just so I'd have some apistos

What size tank were they in? If you provide a tank large enough with sufficient cover and structures to break line-of-sight, that should reduce the chances for deaths quite a bit

400 litre tank with a footprint of 1.20*50. There is plenty of cover and breaks in the line of sight. She killed three of her own kind

I would not bet all my spendings on her as the "murderer" !!!!????!!!!

The Flying Foxes are at the top on my list !!!
What fishes are the " Feisty GBRs" ??? Do you have their "latin name" ???

My signature is outdated. I no longer have the SAEs, that were sold to me as flying foxes, or the German Blue Rams

400L should be big enough if properly decorated.
You can try to add some floating pipes to provide shelter for the male in the top part of the tank if you still want to give her another try. She seems quite determined, though

In a 105 gallon tank with plenty of cover? Really? I would 100% label her as a 'Murderer'. lol. She didn't just kill one fish in a territory fight, she wiped off the bloody knife and killed the only two remaining witnesses to her crime!!! She's smart, but kinda dumb at the same time. lol

Get some new fish, this one is exactly as you said jumpmaster, a rogue.

The floating pipes would serve as a temporary hiding place for 'exiled' fish. Though it is highly recommended that the fish be relocated. Fish don't necessarily like living in pipes near the top of an aquarium unless it's what they do in the wild.

BTW
The only times I have been close to loose an Apisto due to another Apistos aggression:

-When changing lots of water in tanks inhabiting "Apisto couples" guarding fry.(When male have no other fishes to chase away)
http://www.apistogramma.com/forum/i...reed-apistogramma-atahualpa.15268/#post-81035

-When they differ a lot size.

-When keeping them in a tank without almost no hiding places.( breaking the "visual control"of the dominant Apistos territory)
