I am leading a surveying/collection expedition to the Rio Parimanu scheduled for the June/ July 2010 timeframe. This river has never been fished before. What we need to round out the group is a “Pleco guyâ€, and an “Apisto/ Dw. Cichlid- person†who wants to be in the group of people to first sample what this drainage has to offer in the way of new fish species. There has been some illegal logging in the area and we just learned that a logging concession for the area is under consideration, so we have to act fast. We have not set a particular date yet and will not do so until we have a full crew. ( 4-5 persons) on-board. No experience necessary, although you should be in reasonable physical condition and ready to camp out at the collection areas for 3-4 days at a time So if you’ve thought about getting your feet wet in an unknown Peruvian jungle stream, here’s your opportunity! Email me with questions after you have surfed to the website in my sig. to find out all about us. Be sure to check out the blog and photogallery sections for pictures and conversation about our latest collecting trip to investigate the range of Annual Killies in the Madre de dios river basin. We also offer full service storage and export facilities for your collection, so you can take home what you catch! Feel free to pm me at [email protected].
