does anyone have experience with male apistos not responding to obviously amorous females? my experience so far has always been the male hounding after the female to breed, and the breeding only occurring after the female finally gets in the mood.
i currently have a male, however, who has been actively pursued by the female almost non-stop for over 24 hours and he just isn't responding. the female, whenever she sees him, lures him to her prepared cave and flares at him and slaps him with her tail...but he always just runs away after awhile. sometimes he seems to initiate by flaring at her a little, but when she does her little seduction dance he shys away.
is this a normal occurrance, or do i just have a weird male?
