Yes, A. hongsloi forms normally have red caudal spots, but I don't believe that the red patch seen here is actually a caudal spot. The red on the fish in the photo is not surface pigment. It is blood vessels showing through the pale tissue on the fish. I really can't identify the species. It might be one of the golden forms of the hongsloi-complex, but to me it looks more like a eunotus-complex form. Without dark markings, it is difficult to say what species it might be. What do the females look like?

Thanks for the answer regani and Mike Wise.

Mike Wise you are right when you said you did not belive it was the caudalspot I had a better look at the fish, and it looks like its the blood that I can see and its between the last bar and the caudalspot.

I tried to take some photos of the fish with a better camera than the mobil, phone but the red patch does not show so well on those pictures.

This is some pictures of the female

Thanks for the photos of the female. The shape of the caudal spot and the ventral stripe indicate that it 'probably is A. macmasteri. I am not absolutely positive, however. The male still looks more like a eunotus-complex species in shape. Can you get more photos of the male? It might help. Under what name were they sold?

Well, the male looks like A. cf. eunotus (Orangeschwanz/Orange-tail) to me. I don't recall ever seeing a female Orangeschwanz with a ventral stripe, however. The young male offspring, however, doesn't show typical hybrid features (deformed scale rows, deformed fins) typically seen on crosses of species between 2 different species-group. My guess is that you have Orangeschwanz, but the female has an atypical ventral stripe.
