I just purchased (1) male and (5) female Mikrogeophagus ramiezi from an online seller. They are sub-adults that are now in QT. My question is; I have 2 full grown males in a 125 gallon that are about twice the size of these new fish. At what size will it be safe for me to add them to the 125? The 125 is heavily planted and gets a 50% wc once a week.

If you QT the for 4 weeks (recommended lenght of QT) they should be fine in a tank that size. I had 4 or 5 adults in my bare 65 (angel grow out tank) and added a spawns of angels with one very small ram (only survivour from the spawn) For the longest time it didn't go near the other rams, but now that it is mature one of the males caught her eye. With hiding spaces they shouldn't be too agressive and the small male will learn to keep away from the larger ones.
