Pelvicachromis humilis "Kolente"

Hello. Does any one have any pictures of this P. humilis color morph or know of any webpages that might have pictures of this fish? I tried a search on Google and I think that one or two German sites might have pictures of this fish but I don't understand German and I am not sure if the pictures on the site are actually pictures of the Kolente variety. Thanks.

Pelvicachromis humilis

Dear Dhm,

I'm not quite sure which fish you mean when you refer to Pelvicachromis humilis "Kolente." In the European (mostly German) hobby, there are two new P. humilis types that were collected in or around the Bandi River, Kolente River system, Guinea, by Roland Numrich for Mimbon Aquarium. The Germans call them P. sp. "Guinea" or "Bandi I" and P. sp. "Bandi II."

Whether or not these forms constitute separate species remains to be seen. From my experience, the Germans, more than others, are quick to coin new names to old fish. This practice can often result in a lot of confusion.
