My pair of iniridae in the community tank have never laid- acc. to neil pH must be very low, and I cannot get ti that low without acids... not willing.

The past couple of days the female is viscious towards the male... she will attack and chase him all over a 60g very planted tank.... I am impressed with her eyesight as a few times she has gone after him when even I couldn't see him in the weeds.

a couple of times she mistakes the SAE s for him and will attack them but she must realize her error as she never chases them once she first charges them...

What gives? Any ideas?
Starting to think he can't survive the treatment.
Last night she had him backed up in a corner where he was flaring at her and tail whapping to no effect. She attacked and drove him into the plants...

Some apisto's cam be kind of rough, I would say if somes scales were missing and the fins are getting torn that is getting rough. If there's no damage and just lot's of chasing, well that one of the things we love about the little guys, and girls. No harm no foul.

Read Neil's Death Match article.

Actually there is a little bit of damage to his tail fin.
Worries me. After reading the death match article (pretty funny) I may get prepared to punish her with a breeding trap for a few days...
Thanks.
