@Ted : I just wanted to thank you for the log about "P." sp. blue fin on your website. Great story, many useful informations we lack here in France (I know only one person who is successful breeding them here). How are they doing?
Thank you! I am glad that there are people reading it. I need to update the log.
My wild pair FINALLY had another brood, though a small one. The clutch of eggs was large, but only 12 fry became free swimming. I have struggled getting any fry for about 9 months, so I decided to immediately remove these new fry and incubate them. I think that the wild pair may have a season to spawn in, and that is in our Winter. All of their previous attempts, both successful and unsuccessful, happened between December and March. I have some F1 fish from the wild pair that are going through the motions now, so if they start to spawn we will know if F1 are easier to work with than wild fish (as has been the case with many West Africans in my experience).
