Optimal diet for Apistogramma – looking for advice

Hi everyone,

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you consider the best diet for Apistogramma and Nannostomus.

At the moment I keep one A. bitaeniata and one pair of A. sp. "Abacaxis", each together with a group of about 20–30 Nannostomus of different species.

I'm wondering what an optimal feeding schedule would look like for these fish. Right now my weekly routine is:

Monday: Live white mosquito larvae
Tuesday: Frozen copepods enriched with a multivitamin supplement
Wednesday: Live Mikrofex from my own culture
Thursday: Frozen Cyclops/Bosmids enriched with a multivitamin supplement
Friday: Fasting day
Saturday: Live or frozen Artemia enriched with a multivitamin supplement
Sunday: Fasting day

Does this seem like a good long-term diet, or would you change anything? I'm especially interested in whether there's a better balance of live and frozen foods, or if there are any foods that you consider particularly beneficial for Apistogramma.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your own feeding routines and experiences.

Okay, thanks. Then i will go on with this.
I was recently unsettled by someone who told me that mosquito larvae are problematic, befassen of their low nutrients. Same for Brine Shrimp.
