Opinions re: flouridation in H20

It has been reported that flouridated water can have a negative effect on fish reproduction, etc. but in reality, how much of a problem has it really been for all of you fish breeders out there? If it is indeed a significant problem, it seems to depend a lot on the species involved, IMHO.

Well Denver has had fluoridated water even before I was here and breeding fish isn't a problem. I imagine that a good dose of dechlorinator will defluorinate water too. I know that F forms stronger bonds than Cl, but I imagine what works for chloramines will work for fluorides.

Thanks Mike, this mirrors my thought on the matter. The use of thiosulfate to break the molecular bond might be a thought, if it is indeed a possibility and/or if flouridation is even a real problem in some possible cases.

Still thinking about this one. A goodly dose of s. thiosulfate would have mostly beneficial results according to my research.
