After lowering my PH by increasing the CO2 in my planted tank, my pair of nannas laid eggs for the first time in weeeks. This time, after believing the eggs were gone once again, I was surprised to see a buch of wigglers.
I've read how aggressive mothers can get during this period and was careful about the status of the male. I was expecting him to hide in a corner and wish for the best. Well, apart from a few minor incidents, the male has kept company to the mother and has guarded the little ones since they've hatched. In fact, the male has even taken a dark color somewhat similar to the now checkerboard female. Has anyone witnessed such a behavior?
The fry are enjoying baby brine shrimp and will, I guess, graduate to bigger food in the next weeks. Could anyone guide me by telling me what the next food size is and when to try it?
Thanks
