There's a good chance the images aren't good enough to tell for the apistos - they also seem to have disappeared from a couple of the pictures!

They were labelled as A. pertensis so my guess would be that they are A. cf pertensis. I emailed the shop but he had no catch location as they'd come from a wholesaler first. Do they even look like they could be a pair or is the less developed one likely a sub male. The yellower, smaller one doesn;t appear to have black on her pelvic fins, but I don't know whether they do in this group or not.

I'll give it a go later. It's hard to get focussed as the tank is so dark! They are both around 4 cm I think.

Can't even find the smaller one today. Hope it's a sign of a spawning female. The tank is pretty densely planted.
Here are a few pics

fingers crossed, but if the smaller one is a male too, he could simply be hiding to avoid aggression by the larger one.

Will have to check my measurements, what with us British and our Imperialistic ways!

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
