Nannacara bimaculata

Recently, i heard from a local vendor that he found
a "Nannacara sp." which looked like adoketa with a "red cheek"
from the list of an exporter in Germany. He said the exporter said
it's NOT adoketa but a similar one... So, i at once think of
Nannacara bimaculata. Has anybody here heard of this species
being available in the hobby now? Or do you have any proposal
for the true ID of this "red cheek adoketa"? As the price of it
is very high and I am considering to order it via that vendor,
i would like to know more information first. Any comments will be
much appreciated. Thanks

I have not heard of "N." bimaculata occurring in the hobby lately. My male "N." adoketa has a lot of red on the face & gill covers. Could this be the same?

Thanks Mike for the reply. Hmm, according to the vendor, the species has a different name... so, it should be different. If it is NOT N. bimaculata, are there any other very similar looking species as adoketa and bimaculata?? I only know these two distinct species which are so close relatives to one another that they even should belong to members of a separate genus...

By the way, has bimaculata ever been traded in the hobby?
