My German Blue Rams

I have 8 rams in a 10g:

Pulled this out this morning:

Was supposed to be a temperary home.. but maybe I'll keep them in there and just put new pieces of wood/rocks/slate in for spawning sites. I've had them in there for maybe 2 weeks, and that's the second spawn that I know of. I just have to get the eggs out and rear the fry myself I guess. I think I'll set up a 10 for one pair to try to let them parent raise later though. I think that would be cool.

I wouldn't say that type of environment is recommendable for them, as they are no hiding spots for them, but wow! Talk about luck of the draw! Good stuff, I hope you are planning to "upgrade" their wonderful tank once they are done spawning the fry are old enough to be transported.

I have lots of projects in the works.. and fish in places where they won't live forever....

Once I get the 10s that are setup for the apistos cycled and stable, and move the apistos in, I can get the tank ready for the next inhabitants, which might be rams or might be hypancistrus. If I move the hypancistrus, then the 55 will be for Angels, but I'm getting another 55 in a couple days... I can use that one for the....

And so on and so forth goes the workings of my mind.
I spend so much time contemplating what I'm going to do that I never get anything done!!!

I hear you on that one. As long this is not the final location, should be fine. Congrats on the eggs! How are they doing?

Yeah, so my eggs are wigglers!! I have maybe 50 I think.

However, another pair in the 10g spawned today! On the rock!!

I don't have a nursery tank available. I will clean out a 10 tonightand hopefully have it ready before the eggs get eaten!

Sounds like you are going to need more than just a couple of 10GAL tanks. Wow, you have a maternity ward for Rams! ROFL!
