I think it is. I rarely see any of my fish, unless I sit in front of the tank and wait.

I look at as the fish are living their "natural lives" and that is a good thing.
I share that view. (Pun intended)

But if you want to make sure they are still there although you can't see them: How about croaking gourami? ^^

Oh i have dithers which i see all the time; but it has been a year and the f1 are growing slowly and i'm trying to determine if one is a male or if i have to try to find one. I suspect they are either immature or not males since everyone is getting along peacefully including the 2 mature females.
