Nice color for a female! I don't understand the statement, "(Red - Northern Peru). This is not a wildcaught fish nor a color form found in the wild. This is a very colorful domestic strain of red agassizii with an amazingly broad (for A. agassizii) lateral band. I like it!

I understand. I just used the denomination as stated on http://www.mtfb.com/MTFBJuly2005/JULY2005pagesIMAGES/105wisearticle2.htm

I also own a male Agassizii Flame Red. Will post photos of him later.

Thank you for your clarification.

Now I'm embarrassed. You used my figure that shows various caudal fin patterns for identification purposes. It was not intended to be an ID key, but only to show how variable the the caudal fin pattern on A. agassizii can be. Improperly used information lead to the wrong results. Did this female come with your Flame Red male? If so, then you have a domestic strain of Flame Red Agassizii.

I understand your point. I am sorry.

No, the male was bought later. I was having a hard time finding a Double Red male.
Here are some photos of the Flame Red (correct me if I am wrong):
