mixing varieties? Yes or No?

I have some nice triple red cacatuoides females but no males. I can obtain double red males from a club member, and OF from LFS, but no 3X red males.

Would it be terrible thing to cross my triple reds with a double red?

And what if someone added a YG to this mix?

no it is absolutely fine

You can cross them, no problem. After all they are the same species,double and triple reds do not exsist in nature. Selektive breeding produced these strains. If you can try and get a wild male which will show hardly any red dots. The females prefer them. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

I know they will interbreed obviously, I was just unsure if it was a good idea to do so or not, from a more experienced hobbyists perspective. I wouldn't want to be selling them off at auctions as "mutt cacas" KWIM? What would I call the babies?
