Well on entering the fishhouse tonight i got a sneak preview of my pair of Microgeophagus altispinosa spawning, They had dug pits in the sand over the last day or two and spent tonight cleaning the small piece of coconut shell that was purposly left close to the glass as a spawning site, so it was not too much of a suprise that they finally spawned.

These are a new fish for me and i picked them up at the BCA auction on the 13th April.. That means i have owned them for a whole 17 days!!! Not bad eh...

Hey,
A big congrats to you! I just acquired 2 females for my 4" male last week and he promptly died after 4 days. Now I'll have to find another male. Good Luck raising the fry!
Best....
Jim

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
