male or female

Hi guys

Hoping for a pair from my apistogramma gephyra I bought the other week can anyone tell me what their thoughts are on this one male or female. Sorry the picture is not great.

Hi Dave..

I would guess it is a young male Apisto!!
(Lot of blue on the head + slightly elongated pelvic fins( on females often some black markings/stripes+shorter)+ a shade of patterns in the caudal fin, if it is not just some sand in the background ??!)

I agree with MickM. It's a male, but not sure it's A. gephyra. Doesn't look quite right.

I got three of them and I'm starting to think their all male. They had no colour when I got them but after feeding them up on lots of blood worm they are colouring up nicely. One of them is much smaller but even that one is looking like a male.
